We believe that worship involves the whole person: mind, body, and soul. The joy we have kindled in our heart by God is allowed to overflow with expressions of raised hands, corporate prayers, jumping, and dancing, all in celebration of the One who has redeemed us through his victorious life, death, and resurrection.

Yes! We are affiliated with the Assemblies of God, a Pentecostal denomination that was founded in Hot Springs, AR in 1914, and that is now the world’s largest Pentecostal denomination. Every Assemblies of God church calls their own pastor and operates by their own bylaws while submitting to the denomination in matters of doctrine and ministerial credentialing and ordination.  This means that Assemblies of God churches may vary widely in ethos, style, and emphasis, yet are still tied together as a “cooperative fellowship” by their common doctrine and affiliation with the state and national levels. Great question! Immediately following our Sunday morning worship service, there is an opportunity to meet our pastor and staff in the foyer. If you exit the main sanctuary and look to your right (next to the doors leading outside) you see the “Guest Reception” sign. Here you will have as much or as little time as you would like to connect with the staff and other members. The staff will be able to direct you to other people in the church who are in a similar life stage, the best way to meet people is to attend one of our other ministries that takes place during the week. There are GROUPS that meet at various times (check here for more information), men’s and women’s groups that have periodic meetings, a food ministry on Saturday morning, and a mid-week service focused on the next generations. It also helps to come early on Sunday, grab a cup of coffee and hang out in the lobby with everyone before our service starts.

There are many opportunities for your children and teenagers to get involved at Cornerstone Tabernacle.  On Sunday morning, children and babies are served with age appropriate worship opportunities, while teenagers and older children attend our corporate worship service. On Wednesday nights, boys and girls from 2nd grade to 5th grade attend kid-friendly versions of our GROUPS. Teenagers from 6th grade to 12th grade have their own GROUP in the Annex and you can find more info about that here.

Great question! Children from birth to 5th grade participate in our Cornerstone Kids program and check-in is located in the main building. Upon entering the building, our greeters can direct to the check-in desk which is directly to the left of the main auditorium.

All children receive a label and parents receive a corresponding label that is used for check out to ensure the safety of the children. Check out is at the same desk located in the lobby.

There is a mixture of people at Cornerstone Tabernacle in terms of age, race, gender, and socio-economic status. We love that so many different types of people come together to form the church and worship the Living and Powerful One as the Body and Bride of Christ.
